Dr. Mitchell
Upon completing undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University, Dr. David Mitchell attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He received his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry in 1992. Since that time, Dr. Mitchell has made a study of how to operate a successful dental practice. He has taken numerous continuing education hours both on the clinical and business side of dentistry. Dr. Mitchell has worked with practice management coaches, sports psychologists, equipment designers and ergonomic process specialists to learn how to run an excellent business.
In 2008, Dr. Mitchell was named Doctor of the Year by the Scheduling Institute in Atlanta.
Dr. David Mitchell lives in Madison, Mississippi with his wife, Carmen and four children, Colby, Mali, Cade and Chesney. In addition to lots of family time and traveling, his hobbies include snow skiing, running, and biking.
Dr. Vanpelt
Dr. Heather Vanpelt finished both high school and college in Columbus, MS. She is a graduate of University of Mississippi School of Dentistry and has completed a residency in Advanced General Dentistry. She enjoys helping both adults and children keep their smiles healthy and beautiful. When she isn’t treating patients, she can usually be found in her garden or at the movies!
Dr. Alford
Dr. Kara Alford attended University of Mississippi School of Dentistry after several wonderful years as a MSU Bulldog. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1997 and has been a private practice dentist all the years following her graduation. Dr. Alford is very passionate about dentistry and loves helping her patients achieve a healthy and beautiful smile.
Dr. Kara Alford lives in Flowood, MS with her daughter, Charlsey, who is currently attending MSU. Her focus is always time with her family and friends and engaging in a wide variety of fun activities.
Dr. Donald
Dr. Kyle Donald graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2022.
In addition to his D.M.D. degree, Dr. Donald received the Clinical Achievement in Oral Surgery award. He received a B.S. in Biology from Mississippi State University and a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Mississippi College.
Dr. Donald loves interacting with his patients to promote happy and healthy smiles. When Dr. Donald is not promoting for healthy smiles, he enjoys Mississippi State athletics, avid outdoorsman, and attending concerts. He is originally from Louisville. He is married to his beautiful wife, Casey and has three bundles of joy: Molly, Callie and Jack.
Dr. Lauren Thames is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Microbiology degree. She then attended the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson, Ms.
Growing up, Dr. Thames spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a patient due to having pegged laterals (irregular shaped front teeth). Her time spent in the dental chair created a smile that gave her more confidence in her smile and herself. This created a desire for Dr. Thames to be able to help others have a beautiful smile they are confident in, the same way her dentist helped her.
When Dr. Thames is not treating patients, she is spending time with her husband, Hudson, and dog, Dobby. She loves to bake and knit/crochet!
